Challenge:
The Children’s Home Society in Jacksonville, FL, was in need for a 500 CFM, 100% outside air unit in their facility. Eng Engineering Inc., of Jacksonville, had specified a Desert Aire unit seemingly filled all of the requirements for the building.
Solution:
During the specification phase, Eng Engineering learned that the United CoolAir Alpha Aire was a low CFM alternative. Next, Mr. Eng learned that the Alpha Aire is easier to install, more efficient, and has a lower cost point. The United CoolAir unit was changed to the basis of design. Six months later, the Alpha Aire was selected during the bidding process. Of Course, once the unit was ordered, United CoolAir shipped the new 500 CFM Alpha Aire the next day.
