Challenge:
Etileno XXI Petrochemical Complex, a joint venture developed by Braskem-Idesa in Mexico required cooling efforts that encompassed a variety of measures to protect the equipment in a caustic environment. The company needed a solution to storage, waste treatment, and utility facilities; a combined-cycle power and a steam co-generation plant.
Solution:
A few of the options utilized included several C-Series units with Cu/Cu condenser coils, coated with Electrofin and coated cabinets. As a result, the equipment would now withstand environmental effects.
