Challenge:
The Canadian Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) was tasked with providing cooling to several elevator machine, switchboard and emergency response rooms. All of these were located inside their subway system. Cooling these underground rooms can be difficult because of their location and need for a small footprint.
Solution:
Beginning in 2012, United CoolAir Corp was able to resolve TTC’s needs by deploying dozens of C13 Series Air-Cooled Horizontal units along with 12 VertiCool Aurora units to the platform level. Additionally, These units were able to duct the condensing unit air to the outside eliminating the possibility of weather damage or vandalism.
